Rachel’s Story

Highschool sweethearts, Jeff and Angie Jennings, married in 1988 and welcomed into their world a perfect little baby girl, Rachel Ashley Jennings. Everything was perfect except when Rachel was born she had no heartbeat, was not breathing, and was bluish-gray. Her Mom silently prayed “God just give her to me…..I don’t care what’s wrong with her!” Seconds that felt like hours later of the respiratory therapist massaging her little chest produced a tiny cry from Rachel’s lungs. That tiny cry became a huge voice, one labored with a speech impediment and the painful years of occupational, speech, and physical therapies, along with torment from kids that can just be mean. What was produced was a little girl who grew into a young woman full of confidence that God had a purpose for her on this earth and that she would indeed spread His message of Hope. Rachel graduated high school, received her first college degree, was married, was employed, and even became a “Mommy” herself. Rachel was so very very certain that she could “see herself” speaking and preaching that we will NOT allow this message to go unheard. On August 19, 2021, after being hospitalized during the Delta Variant of Covid-19, intubated against her will, and placed on a ventilator for 31 days, Rachel’s heart stopped beating on earth and began to beat in heaven.
