BREAKING PROTOCOL

Gone but not forgotten
I have absolutely no idea what babies see, hear, or know while being knit in their Mommy’s womb but I do know our daughter Rachel Jennings Lam emphatically insisted that she remembered being held by her PaPa Devrick and he went to heaven 4 years before she was born. I have to wonder what was going through little Selah’s mind as she gazed so intently at the picture of her “Aunt Rachel” inside my locket. One day we will know and I guess it really won’t matter then. Life really does go on after death.. here on this earth as well as beyond. I am so very blessed that God gave me two granddaughters Abigail Laine (Rachel’s daughter) and Selah Grace. Yes, Rachel would have been so so proud to be an “Aunt.”
Today we were so happy to be part of the 1st birthday of little Selah Grace Jennings, daughter of Ryan Jennings and Sammie Carattini. The Word tells us in John 10:10 “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.” Life continuing on is indeed abundant life! Today was a day of happiness, laughter, great food, awesome fellowship with family and friends that are so close they have become family. Today was a day of celebration and I am so happy little Selah Grace had a phenomenally calm and happy time with all the cake, food, presents, and games, yet still God orchestrated this special moment in time
