BREAKING PROTOCOL

Jeffrey Jennings gets the best photos with his special camera, a lost art with the way we constantly snap away with our cell phones. Well this week my Jeffrey brought his camera to Abbie’s first recital and I happened to look over as he was capturing her mischievous grin. As soon as I saw Abbie’s face in the camera lens I just KNEW I was seeing her Mommy stare right back at me! Rachel Jennings Lamleft her mark for sure. I miss her so intensely that I am forced to cope by “doing life” as though something so horribly cruel didn’t really happen. When moments of reality break through though I am comforted by 23 chromosomes of RACHEL masquerading as my 5 year old granddaughter (Note regarding picture of Rachel: shortly before everyone got sick, Rachel called to ask if I wanted to go with her, Fabio Lam, and Abbie to the mall. Physically I was tired but something prompted me to just go for it do I did! Fabio treated me like a queen, even opening my door for me. We ate our lunch in the food court that day.
