So there I stood in the parking lot of our local courthouse. I was about to walk in to take care of a building permit for our driveway but man my mind was swept back about 3 years— you see, I had been in that same parking lot before under much different circumstances. These are Testimony pictures! Yes my Rachel was Covid positive and ended up in a medically induced coma for 31 days in a hospital where I could not physically touch her and ultimately went to live with Jesus in heaven but God ordained certain people to be her nurses. But what if I could handpick the people who took care of her? Well I could not but God certainly could and did! You see, a few years ago when the black lives matter’s rallies were going on, there was one at this particular courthouse. We had heard about it through the grapevine and I insisted to Jeffrey that we just had to go up there as pastors. It was over by the time we got there but there were still a few people wandering around. We went to a couple and spoke to them in a very peaceful way and I’m pretty sure we ended up praying together. One day during Rachel’s hospitalization I called to check on her progress and a nurse got on the phone identifying herself as one of Rachel’s friends. She said that she would not have known it was even Rachel except we had a picture of her up on the shelf. We had been told that helps and I’m so glad that we did it. Also she said “I’ve met you also! We met at the Black Lives Matter rally!” She was the young woman that we prayed with. Even then, God was setting things in motion.
